Birth Preparation Workshops in Muswell Hill & North London

A practical, deeply reassuring 3.5-hour workshop for you and your birth partner — blending Active Birth principles with yoga, breath work and hypnobirthing tools. Expect a mix of movement, hands-on practice, relaxation, and simple guidance you can actually use on the day. Perfect for first-time parents and for those wanting a refresher! These group workshops are held at my home studio in Muswell Hill and at Life By Margot in Crouch End .

What the workshop covers

  • How birth works: the stages of labour and the physiological unfolding of birth

  • Active birth positions to support comfort, rhythm and your baby’s descent

  • Biomechanics made simple: how to work with your body if things feel stuck or uncomfortable

  • Breathwork and nervous system tools for calm, focus and confidence

  • Environment + hormones: how to protect the flow of oxytocin (at home or in hospital)

  • The birth partner’s role: practical ways to support with touch, massage, acupressure and language

  • Relaxation practice you can return to again and again in pregnancy and labour

You’ll also receive my 5 pre-recorded hypnobirthing tracks plus a comprehensive workshop document!

If you wish to cancel your place on a workshop, you must do so at least 7 days before the scheduled start date to be eligible for a refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop date are non-refundable.

The only exception to this policy is in the event of early labour or a significant change in pregnancy (e.g. medical complications) that make attendance impossible. In such cases, please get in touch as soon as possible to discuss options.
