Mummy & Baby Yoga in

Crouch End, Muswell Hill & Highgate

Post Natal Yoga

What to expect

Whilst my mummy & baby classes are with baby in tow, the class is very much centred around you! It’s about rebuilding, rebalancing, and gently coming back home to yourself — while your baby is right there beside you.

These nurturing, empowering classes help you regain strength, confidence and connection with your body through mindful movement. Expect a blend of gentle vinyasa flows, standing postures and supportive core work, with a focus on abdominal recovery, posture, and rebuilding stability from within. We’ll weave in breathwork throughout to soothe the nervous system and support calm, resilience and wellbeing as you move through early motherhood.

Come as you are, move at your own pace, and meet other mums in this really wonderful safe, held space.

In 2019 I became a mother, I know how tender, messy and wildly changeable this season can be. Yoga has been my absolute constant backbone through many uncertain, chaotic times (outside of motherhood!) — a steady anchor I return to always — and I bring that same grounded support into every class. With years of specialist experience in pregnancy, postnatal recovery and active birth (alongside reflexology), I offer thoughtful, functional movement and breath work that help you feel stronger, calmer and more connected, held with gentle humour, encouragement and genuine care!

FAQ

  • Whenever you feel ready, with most mums starting once they’ve had their postnatal check at 6 weeks and 8 weeks for abdominal births.

  • Yes — babies are very welcome! From newborn to pre-crawlers

  • All of the above is welcome!! You just feed, cuddle, change, walk around, or simply pause and rejoin when you’re ready. There’s zero pressure to “keep up”.

  • Of course! Some mothers have partners working from home and like to pop in for a bit of time for theirselves.

“I looked forward to your class every week and they really made a difference to me physically and mentally during this time. You have also inspired me to train in pre and postnatal yoga after experiencing first-hand the benefits this can have, so a huge THANK YOU for this too 😊”
— Gemma - Yoga Student
“Hannah created a warm and inviting space in which to practice and was still able to pay attention to each individual’s specific needs. Now I am really enjoying Hannah’s post natal classes, I am so grateful to have found a teacher who is both passionate about working with pregnant and post natal women and extremely knowledgable in this niche area.”
— Lucy - Yoga Student

Impact of fear in labour
I would say the most common fear that comes up in my birth prep courses from mothers is ‘I don’t know my pain threshold?’, does this resinate with you? Have you thought this durning your pregnancy or as your approach labour? I can t
Did you know that your jaw and your pelvic floor are intrinsically connected?? Most my pregnancy yoga students are surprised to hear this. A fascial line (*fascia is the connective web of tissue that holds all your muscles and bones in places) runs f

Movement in labour and birth should be instinctive and intuitive, not a series of poses to try but a real team effort of mum and baby finding the best position together. It’s the ultimate team work 💕

TRANSISTION

Who has heard these words “I can’t do this.” come out of their mouth during labour? I know I did. I heard myself say them, and immediately told myself, you are in transition. This is it.
